table service in crystal (18pieces), European manufacture, 1920s–1950s.
Three coordinated forms: coupe (x6), wine glass (x6), water goblet (x6).
Each piece is decorated with a diamond lattice obtained through pantograph acid-etching: a mechanical stylus traces the pattern through a protective wax coating, and the exposed crystal is treated with hydrofluoric acid to produce a uniform, permanently satin finish.
